Shipping Policy

Everything you need to know about how we deliver your order — from dispatch to doorstep.

At The Burning Thread, we ensure that every order is carefully packed and shipped to reach you in the best condition. This Shipping Policy outlines our delivery process, timelines, charges, and other important details regarding your shipment.

Shipping Locations

We currently ship across India to all serviceable pin codes. Delivery availability depends on the courier partners operating in your area. If your pin code is not serviceable at the time of checkout, you will be notified and an alternative arrangement may be suggested where possible.

We do not currently offer international shipping. International delivery options may be introduced in the future — stay tuned for updates on our website and social media channels.

Order Processing Time

All orders are processed within 2–5 business days from the date of order confirmation and successful payment. Business days exclude Sundays, public holidays, and any unforeseen closures. During peak seasons, festive periods, or product launches, processing may take additional time due to high order volumes.

Once your order is dispatched, you will receive a shipping confirmation via email and/or SMS containing your tracking number and courier partner details. You can use this information to track your shipment in real time.

Orders placed on weekends or public holidays will be processed on the next working day.

Estimated Delivery Time

Delivery timelines depend on your location and the courier partner handling your shipment. The following are estimated delivery windows after dispatch:

Metro Cities (Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Pune) — 3–5 business days.

Tier 1 & Tier 2 Cities5–7 business days.

Rural & Remote Areas7–12 business days.

These are estimated timelines and may vary due to factors beyond our control such as weather disruptions, logistical delays, strikes, or natural calamities. We sincerely appreciate your patience during such situations.

Shipping Charges

We offer free shipping on all orders above ₹999. For orders below ₹999, a flat shipping fee of ₹79 will be applied at checkout. Shipping charges, if applicable, are clearly displayed on the checkout page before you complete your payment.

Shipping charges are non-refundable. In case of a partial return, the shipping fee will not be refunded. If a return is initiated due to a damaged, defective, or wrong product delivered by us, the return shipping cost will be borne by The Burning Thread.

Free shipping offers and promotional rates are subject to change and may be withdrawn at any time without prior notice.

Delivery Partners

We partner with trusted and established courier services including BlueDart, Delhivery, DTDC, Ecom Express, India Post, and other regional logistics providers depending on your delivery location. The courier partner assigned to your order is selected based on serviceability, speed, and reliability in your area.

If you have a preferred courier partner or wish to arrange your own logistics for a bulk or custom order, please reach out to us through our contact page before placing your order.

Order Tracking

Once your order is dispatched, you will receive a tracking number and courier partner name via email and/or SMS. You can track your order directly on the courier partner’s website using this number. If you are unable to track your order or if the tracking information has not been updated for more than 48 hours after dispatch, please reach out through our contact page and we will coordinate with the courier partner for an update.

Delivery Attempts

Our courier partners will make up to 2 delivery attempts at the shipping address provided. If delivery is unsuccessful after both attempts due to reasons such as incorrect address, unavailability, refusal, or unreachable location, the order will be returned to our warehouse.

In such cases, a re-shipping fee of ₹79 will be applicable to dispatch the order again. If you choose not to have the order re-shipped, a refund will be processed after deducting the original shipping charges (if any) and the return shipping cost.

Please ensure: Your shipping address, pin code, and contact number are accurate at the time of placing the order. Address changes after dispatch may not be possible and could result in delivery failure.

Packaging

At The Burning Thread, sustainability is at the core of everything we do — and our packaging reflects that commitment. All products are packed using eco-friendly, recyclable, and minimal-waste materials. We avoid single-use plastics wherever possible and use recycled paper, cardboard, and biodegradable packaging materials.

Each product is carefully wrapped and cushioned to protect it from damage during transit. Fragile or delicate items receive additional protective packaging. If you receive a product in damaged packaging or condition, please document it with photos and contact us immediately.

Delayed or Lost Shipments

If your order has not been delivered within the estimated timeframe and tracking shows no progress for 7+ days, please contact us immediately. We will initiate an investigation with the courier partner and work to resolve the issue at the earliest.

In the rare event that a shipment is confirmed lost in transit, we will either re-dispatch your order at no additional cost or issue a full refund (including shipping charges), as per your preference.

Damaged or Tampered Deliveries

Please inspect your package at the time of delivery. If the package appears damaged, tampered with, or opened, we recommend the following:

Do not accept the delivery. Ask the delivery agent to mark it as “damaged” or “refused.” Take clear photographs of the damaged packaging before returning it. Reach out to us within 24 hours with the photographs and your order details through our contact page.

If you have already accepted a damaged package, please document the damage with photographs of both the outer packaging and the product, and contact us within 48 hours of delivery. We will arrange for a replacement or refund as applicable.

Custom & Bulk Orders

Custom or bulk orders may have different processing and shipping timelines based on the nature and volume of the order. Shipping charges for bulk orders will be communicated separately at the time of order confirmation. If you wish to place a bulk or custom order, please reach out through our contact page for a personalized shipping quote and timeline.

Address Corrections

If you notice an error in your shipping address after placing an order, please contact us within 12 hours of placing the order. We will do our best to update the address before dispatch. Once the order has been dispatched, address changes may not be possible and could result in delivery failure or additional charges.

Undeliverable Orders

An order may be marked as undeliverable under the following circumstances: incorrect or incomplete address, recipient unavailable after multiple delivery attempts, refusal of delivery by the recipient, or failure to collect from the courier’s hold location within the specified time. Undeliverable orders will be returned to our warehouse and we will contact you to arrange re-shipping or a refund. Re-shipping fees may apply.
